Consortium Corp Enters into Agreement with Nanocor to sell Nanoclay Products in U.S. Market
On July 1, 2011, Consortium Corp added another value added additive to its product lines, entering into an agreement with Nanocor, Inc. to sell its Nanoclay products in the U.S. Market. Nanoclays can be used for providing a number of mechanical properties to polymers including Barrier Properties, Fire Retardance, and Improved Tensile Strength (Down Gauging). Their use can bring about cost savings in materials in resin costs and in the use of other Fire Retardant Additives. Chris Capps, President of Consortium Corp, stated “we are very excited about the Nanocor line of products, and they fit well within our core products which provide our customers with a means to reduce costs and provide additional value to their customers”.
Please visit the Nanocor website, www.nanocor.com, to review the case studies provided which demonstrate the additional value of integrating nanoclays into the polymer blend. Please call us at (855)-345-7527 to discuss these benefits.
This past April Consortium Corp’s Technical Director, George Gilbert, attended the 11th Annual Nanocomposites Conference in Brussels in conjunction with Nanocyl’s sponsorship of the event. Fourteen technical papers were presented during the two –day conference, a majority of which focused on scale-up and commercialization of nanocomposite applications.
